This was after the ‘Black Bull’s 2-1 triumph in the Ingwenyama Cup last 16 replay match at Somhlolo National Stadium on Tuesday evening. Highlanders sailed through to the quarter-finals while Vovovo bit the dust. Bhembe appeared before Magistrate Lenhle Zulu at the Mbabane Magistrates Court yesterday where he applied to be admitted to bail.

He was granted E2 000 bail, which he paid. The case is expected back in court on March 12. He was accompanied by a number of friends and relatives when he appeared in court.

Bhembe looked calm during the appearance at the magistrates Court as he mingled with his friends and relatives present to support him.
45-year-old Bhembe, who is well-known in the public transport industry, was represented by Lindelwa Mkhwanazi from Mabila Attorneys, who pleaded not guilty to the charge on his behalf.

Maziya is said to have received treatment at the Raleigh Fiktin Memomorial (RFM) Hospital in Manzini and discharged on the same night. The match was abandoned last Saturday at Nsukuwansuku (Mhlume) Stadium due floodlights failure. The match at Nsukuwansuku was also marred by scenes of violence. Over 500 supporters were present at the Somhlolo National to watch the replay.

Highlanders’ goals were scored by Vusumuzi Zungu and Melusi Dlamini, while Vovovo scored the lone goal through Bheki Dlamini.
