VETERANS RULE ESRIC MONTHLY MUG

MBABANE – Veteran golfers have made a strong statement in the opening ESRIC Monthly Mug golf tournament of the new year.

The seasoned Bafana Hlophe posted an unmatched score of Net 66 to win yesterday’s Eswatini Royal Insurance Corporation (ESRIC) golf tournament ahead of 59 golfers at Mbabane Golf Club. Professional golfer Meshack Zwane finished on 68 to celebrate the best gross.

Sandile Chonco and Kenneth Nkambule were second and third, respectively, on Net 68. 
Chonco shook off Nkambule on count back.

Other seasoned golfers that were in action on the day included Sam ‘Styles’ Richards, Valentine Maziya and Mncedisi Ntombini. Maziya shone in the novelties.
Meanwhile, it was a family affair, as golfer Vusi Dlamini paraded his son Vuyo at the fairway. The former was fifth overall with a score of 70.
The winners once again made a stop on the podium to claim fabulous prizes, courtesy of the giant insurance company.
