MBABANE - Royal Leopard Technical Director Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane has been confirmed as the National Under-23   squad coach, temporarily.
This was confirmed by the Eswatini Football Association Marketing and Communications Officer, Muzi Radebe, yesterday.

The appointment of Ntibane comes after it appeared Anthony Mdluli would not be available to lead the Under-23 team due to that he is engaged with the senior national team. Sihlangu will host Niger in the Africa Cup of Nations next Sunday at Mavuso Sports Centre, while the junior team will visit Mozambique two days earlier, as they play on the same weekend.

“The Executive Committee of the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) has decided that Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane will be the head coach of the Under-23 National Team that will play against Mozambique on November 16th and 20th. He will be assisted by Christian Thwala. The goalkeeper and fitness coaches will be Sipho Dube and Dennis Fakudze respectively,” Radebe said.

He also maintained that the senior national team technical staff will continue to be responsible for the Under-23 team.
“This time around it won’t be practical as both Sihlangu and the Under-23 national team will be in action on the same weekend, thus the decision to implement the changes,” he added.
