MBABANE – With just two games to go, the basketball Elite Men League Play-off battle is almost over, as the top four teams have been confirmed.

Mathematical, the current top four teams have secured the play-off spot. These are Mbabane Jazz, Manzini Superstars, Manzini Steels and Imbumbe.

This is so because Mbabane Raptors, who are on the fifth spot, have 19 points. Even if they win both their remaining two games, they will amass 23 points, to which the top four teams will surely have even if they lose all their games. In the sport of basketball, even if a team loses, they get a single point.
Currently, Jazz are leading the pack with 23 points, while Superstars, Steels and Imbumbe all have 21 points.

Battle

The battle for the relegation zone is still undecided, with RSSC Tridents, Mbabane Knicks and Manzini Titans all in the dropzone.
If bottom placed Tridents win all their games might escape the axe and if Knicks and Titans win, it will mean the end of the story for Tridents, who got promoted from the Men’s Promotional League last year. Two teams will be relegated at the end of the season.
