TOUGH OUTING FOR WOUNDED ‘WESLIANS’

MBABANE – Stuttering Manzini Wanderers hope to bounce back from their demoralising 1-3 loss to Tambuti at the expense of equally inconsistent neighbours Manzini Sundowns tonight.

The pressure is on the visitors, as they are eager to shake off a terrible record after losing three of their five opening matches. It is still early days in the MTN Premier League, but some of the team’s fans seem to be already having ants in their pants after allegedly attacking team gaffer  Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe in the past weekend.

Record

Their head-to-head record against Sundowns also does not make for good reading after failing to win in the last 10 games. Most meetings ended in stalemates, while Sundowns had a last laugh with a 1-0 win in the reverse fixture.

For Sundowns, they will be out to prove that the recent 3-1 over Matsapha United was no fluke. Coach Charles Manda returns to haunt his former employers after leaving the side in September 2014.

He will want to keep his 100 per cent record intact after winning his first game in charge away at Matsapha. It is a must-win for both sides to keep up with the ‘big boys’ at the top.
