MATSAPHA – For being a cut above the rest, Mbabane Tigers Volleyball Club will play the VA Cup preliminaries in a new kit.

This is courtesy of Embroidery Design Centre who partnered with the Eswatini National Volleyball Association (ENVA) by sponsoring the champions of the B-Division Teams Tournament at Police College last Saturday with a new playing kit.

Tigers were too strong for their rivals; seven teams in total had participated in the tournament.
On top of winning the new kit that was at stake, they also received E700 cash and a ticket to this year’s VA Cup preliminaries where they will play with the elite sides.

Crowned champions

The Mbabane side clawed its way around Jubela, winning the match 2-0 in the final to be crowned champions. Jubela received E500 cash while also getting the ticket to the preliminaries of the annual tournament.

Coming third and fourth were Bob Masters and Siteki who received E350 and E250, respectively.

The other three clubs that took part in the one day tournament were Panthers, Ncabaneni and Zakhele.
ENVA Management Committee Secretary Eric Zwane also confirmed the latest and said the top four teams all get to play in the VA Cup which starts with preliminaries.
This effectively means Bob Masters and Siteki will also be in the tournament which is proposed to kick off on October 20 with the finals a week later.
