MBABANE – Most wanted Nigeria striker Aledeon Kola is set for a return to Mbabane Swallows.

The former Manzini Wanderers player, who did a week’s trial with ABSA Premiership side Maritzburg United, failed to secure a deal as the latter had way passed their foreign quota. A source close to the matter confirmed that Kola will start training with Swallows before the end of the week.

Kola left ‘The Birds’ after the end of their campaign in the CAF Champions’ League group stages on August 28. He was only signed for three months with the ‘Birds’ from Manzini Wanderers in May, with the hope of securing a deal from outside the country.

“A lot of teams locally and internationally are interested in the services of the player, but Swallows seem to have won the race as they are leading in signing him. He will only sign a short term contract as he is eyeing a return to Maritzburg in January when another chance avails itself,” said the source.
Kola scored three goals for Swallows in his short stint appearances.

Mbabane Swallows General Manager Sandile ‘Beyond 2 000’ Zwane requested not to comment about the player, as he referred all comments to the player’s manager Charles Matsebula.
