MBABANE – MTN League 2015/16 champions, Royal Leopard are set to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

According to an impeccable source, defender Siboniso Sigudla joined the team two weeks ago and impressed the Edwin Matsebula-led technical bench. The player was playing for Practice Motsepe League side, Nkomazi Real Aces.

“They (Leopard) have been impressed with his display since he started his trials. There are 90 per cent chances that he will sign before the season begins. What is good is that age is on his side as he is in his early 20s,” said the source.

Royal Leopard PRO Frank Hurube confirmed that Sigudla was training with them.
“We are happy to have him. It will depend on the technical team to sign him.
“However, I have been told that he is a very god player,”Hurube said.

He said while they were scouting for raw talent, they would announce major signings once they have finalised the deals.
“We will bolster the squad but we are tying a few loose ends. We have also loaned Phila Dlamini to Moneni Pirates,” he added.
He also disclosed that they would have a series of friendly games today.

“We will play Sea Birds, Black Swallows and we’re also expecting to have Tambankulu Callies. These are practice games which we believe will help our boys in as far as match fitness is concerned. This will also help the technical bench to assess the new players and find a winning combination among his troops,” the PRO said.
‘Ingwe Mabalabala’ also played friendly games with Moneni Pirates on Thursday.
The PRO said they won two of the three games that they played but emphasised that it was not about results but getting the team ready ahead of the season.
