MBABANE – Executives who are stuttering to do a work-out should take a leaf from Darron Raw.

Raw, Managing Director at Swazi Trails, has not only embraced the Eswatini 50/50 Fitness Challenge, but he is also a training devotee.  Raw does a variety of sporting activities that include cycling, running, hiking, and canoeing, among others.

Today marks day 48 of the Eswatini Fitness Challenge, which was introduced by Prince Bandzile’s Peaceful Warrior Foundation, and Raw has consistently taken part in the initiative.

Raw said he learnt about the fitness challenge on social media and grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
“I started participating on day one (July 19).

“It was not too difficult a commitment to make because I exercise almost daily,” he said.
Raw said what he liked about the challenge was the consistency it required and that one kept healthy activity at the forefront of one’s lifestyle.

The fitness challenge is simply a call for everyone, especially emaSwati, to train at least 50 minutes per day between July 19, 2018 and this coming Thursday. The goal is to make Eswatini one of the healthiest nations in the world. It is a 50-day campaign that involves downloading an application styled EswatiniFC on Google App store, as a commitment to taking part in the challenge.  It will end in style on Thursday, as there will be a 50km relay marathon at Somhlolo National Stadium, starting at 6am.
