LOBAMBA – FSRA CEO Sandile Dlamini was all smiles on the success of the fourth edition of his company-sponsored marathon.

Dlamini was speaking after witnessing over 2 000 runners in the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) Marathon at Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Technical Centre in Lobamba on Saturday. The race was won by South African runner, Thulani Magagula.

“We recorded over 2 000 runners this year. The numbers are very encouraging. It is not only local runners who are part of this race, but we have people coming from South Africa, Mozambique and Lesotho. “Clearly the race is assuming the status of a regional race,” Dlamini said.
Dlamini stressed that the aim was to bring together financial stakeholders so that they could network and market their services to the public.
“We have received overwhelming response since the race started,” Dlamini said.

He also congratulated all athletes who won in their respective categories.
“We are very much impressed by the standard, especially of local athletes. They are giving international athletes a run for their money,” he said.
The company has pumped in over E400 000 in organising the race this year. Last year they had splashed over E300 000.There was E90 000 up for grabs. The marathon winner in both male and female categories were entitled to E10 000 each.
