MANZINI – Remember the name – Lazarous Kambole. The nippy Zesco United striker has beaten World superstars, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar Junior to the fastest hat-trick in continental competitions, with a mind-numbing FOUR minutes that left Mbabane Swallows chances of qualifying for the knockout stages of the CAF Champions on a wing and prayer – literally.

The hat-trick by the diminutive forward (38th, 40th and 42nd minute) helped the ‘Zegalacticos’ of the Copper belt temporarily on the second spot with five points prior to last night’s clash between run-away leaders, Tunisia’s Etoile Sportive du Sahel and Angola’s Club Desportivo 1 de Agosto at the Olympique de Sousse Stadium.

Swallows are now one wing out of the CAF Champions League, leaving the away clash at Luanda’s 11 Novembro Stadium clash on August 28 against Club Desportivo a must-win encounter, while hoping Tunisia’s Etoile Sporitivo du Sahel can do them a favour by beating both Club Desportivo (last night) and Zesco United in Ndola next week Tuesday.

If truth be told, it has all gone pear-shaped for the Swallows of Mbabane after a promising start to the campaign with a 1-all draw away to Zesco United on May 5 and a 1-0 home win against Club Desportivo 1 de Agosto on May 15.
Below is how the players rated out of 10 in yesterday’s deflating 3-0 loss.
