MBABANE – The preparations of the Gashuki training camp to be attended by South Africa’s Shihan Kenny and Shihan Masondo have intensified.

The Sosai Association will on Saturday host a training camp at Salesian Primary School, in preparations of the biggest training Gashuki camp billed for September or late October. Sosai member Mzwandile Ngwenya announced yesterday that the training will accommodate all ages and it will start at 9am.

“All members are invited to attend the camp and it will be conducted by Sensei Alie Mdluli and Nathi Nxumalo, who is our president. The camp is in preparation of the Gashuki Training camp billed for September or late October,” he said.

Ngwenya added that beside the two Shihan’s coming from South Africa, they will be expecting some instructors from KwaZulu-Natal and Cape Town.
“We urge all the dojos to come in their numbers and also keep time. The first event which is the training under the kihon and ido geiko styles, will start at 9am and we will have our general assembly at noon and an executive meeting at 2pm,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ngwenya then congratulated the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Darius Dlomo and Business Development Officer Zama Tsabedze respectively, of the Swaziland National Sport and Recreation Council (SNSRC) over the nominations for the national elections at their constituencies.
“This shows that sports are also recognised in the country as they are playing a crucial role in developing sports, as now it is a career to some individuals,” he said.
