MBABANE – Nearly a year later, Mbabane Swallows’ danger man Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa’s return to the pitch is nigh after going for his final head injury operation this week.

The striker sustained his severe head injury and became the first to ever in Eswatini to have a craniotomy (surgical removal of a bone flap from the skull to expose the brain) operation that cost close to E400 000 and now set to go over E500 000. The bone flap is temporarily removed and then returned after the brain surgery.

Sources close to the player said the bill for the second operation could cost nothing less than E150 000.
“He’s in hospital here in the country and the operation took place on Wednesday evening but our team doctor has all the details,” confirmed Swallows’ General Manager Sandile ‘Beyond 2000’ Zwane yesterday.
When the club’s doctor Samkeliso Mdluli was reached, also referred questions back to Zwane or Management Committee’s Chairman Lloyd ‘Magic Feet’ Maziya.  However, Zwane did not answer his cellphone when sought again. Maziya ‘s cellphone number rang unanswered  when called several times last night.

Meanwhile, Ndzinisa who was the best striker in the Kingdom before his injury in their Swazi Telecom Charity Cup clash with Mbabane Highlanders is expected to return next season and probably pair up with another troublesome striker in the name of Aladeon Kola if he joins the red and white side for next season.

Kola, the out-of-contract Manzini Wanderers’ talisman is expected to return anytime from now to join Swallows after he signed a three months contract that will see him feature in their upcoming CAF Champions League Group D games as they bid to go past the group stage to the knockout stage.

He has also been joined by former Tambuti and Sihlangu wing back Siboniso Ndzabandzaba on E100 000 transfer fee.
Swallows will be bidding farewell to talented midfielder Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze who is off to Polokwane City on June 30 while midfielder-cum-striker Felix Badenhorst is said to be going to Mbombela United.
