MBABANE – “Pay your TV licence and get your money’s worth.”

These were comments by The Eswatini Television Authority (STVA) Marketing Manager Lucky Gamedze during The Bible Society Cup press conference at Mountain Inn last night.

STVA will broadcast the second edition of the tournament between Manzini Sundowns and Manzini Wanderers tomorrow at Mavuso Sports Centre. Kick-off time is 3:30pm.

“We are grateful for our new partnership with the Bible Society. We will broadcast the game between Manzini Sundowns and Manzini Wanderers. We came to a decision to partner with the Bible Society because they are spreading Good news. We are also pleased that people are paying their TV licences which enable us to broadcast such content,” Gamedze said.

He further said it was also part of their social responsibility to give back to the nation.
“We encourage people to continue paying their TV licence so that we keep broadcasting live content. Our viewers who have been paying TV licence have also made it possible for us to broadcast the upcoming World Cup games,” he added.

Meanwhile, Bible Society CEO Ngcebo Mbuli thanked STVA for the kind gesture.
“Firstly we want to take this opportunity to thank Eswatini TV for joining hands with us in spreading the Good news. The Bible has to reach multitudes of people and through soccer we can achieve that. We are happy that through Eswatini TV we can touch thousands of souls,” Mbuli said.

World Vision Swaziland Manager, Advocacy and Justice for Children, Sakhile Malaza said they were also grateful to partner with Bible Society.
“Ours is to spread the Good news while also promoting good welfare for children,” Malaza said.
Other organisations that have partnered with Bible Society are A.C.A.T Swaziland, World Vision, Voice of the Church and Mancosa.
Other games that will be played before the main match include one between Bible Society and V.O.C at 11am while Manzini Pastors will have a date with Mbabane Pastors at 1pm.
