MZIMPOFU – Deputy Prime Minister Paul Dlamini has praised His Royal Highness Prince Bandzile for coming up with the ‘Peaceful Warrior’ Foundation idea.

Speaking before the awards ceremony of the shooting tournament staged at Mzimpofu in the outskirts of Manzini yesterday, Dlamini said a lot of Swazis stood to benefit from this initiative.  He said the foundation’s aim to polish local talent so they represented the country well in international assignments had the potential to put the country on the world map.

“We encourage individuals and companies to lend a helping hand to ‘Peaceful Warrior’ so that the foundation can accomplish its dreams. The attendance for today’s tournament is evidence that we already have a lot of people supporting the ‘Peaceful Warrior’ initiative, but financial support is more important,” he said.

Dlamini observed that individuals who participated in shooting should be happy for their experience and not have regret. He pointed out that he was in no doubt that shooting would grow as a sport under the ‘Peaceful Warrior’ Foundation.

Prince Bandzile thanked all those who attended yesterday’s event at Mzimpofu. He emphasised that the idea behind the ‘Peaceful Warrior’ Foundation is to develop sports, coaches, and players to realise their full potential.
“We want to produce athletes who will represent the country in big sporting events like the Olympics. We hope to contribute positively to the development of all sports in the country,” he said.
