MBABANE – Just before embarking on the COSAFA Cup, Sihlangu players registered for national elections.

As announced by the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) Chairman Chief Gija about two weeks ago at their Nkhanini offices, registration for national elections anticipated to take centre stage later this year has begun.

Sihlangu players, led by their coach Anthony Mdluli took advantage of the opening before focusing on the COSAFA Cup, taking to the nearby Gables registration point in Ezulwini to register.

Sihlangu are in camp at the Football Association (FA) Technical Centre in Lobamba, in readiness for the tournament and are anticipated to face Kenya’s Harambee Stars on Friday, according to Kenyan media.

“It is a national call and the FA saw it fit to give the players in camp an opportunity to register. We encourage all Swazis to register for the elections,” said FA Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe.
