RSP DOMINATE AAS NATIONAL CHAMPS

MANZINI – The Royal Swaziland Police (RSP) athletes were dominated in the AAS National Championships.

They were the overall winners, with 278 points and outclassed the 15 clubs that took part in the two-day championships. They dominated both the track and field events in the two-day championships. Coming second was Umbutfo Swaziland Defence Force (USDF) on 116 points, while University of Swaziland (UNISWA) was third on 97 points. RSP dominated the championships through their senior athletes, including Sibusiso ‘Swazi Bolt’ Matsenjwa, Phumlile Ndzinisa, Mcebo Mkhaliphi, while for the field events, Belinda Vermaak, Nozipho Nyoni and Makhosazane Mafu were unstoppable in the discus and shot put. Athletics Association of Swaziland (AAS) Secretary Thoba Mazibuko said they were happy that teams came in their numbers but others had to be turned back as they had not registered with the association.
