MBABANE – Just exactly how to make E10 million in 10 months.  Giants Mbabane Swallows have earned E9 860 000 this season from prize monies alone. The red and white glamour side has the ‘holy grail’ MTN League, richly sponsored Ingwenyama Cup and the traditional season opener SwaziTelecom Charity Cup trophies to show off with, after yet another fruitful campaign.

Last August, Swallows beat Royal Leopard after penalties to bag the one-day charity cup, brushed aside Young Buffaloes on February 4 early this year to win the Ingwenyama Cup for the third year on the trot, before piping the same army side to the MTN League crown.
Swallows season earnings thus far has been greatly boosted by a cool E6.6 million from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for reaching the group stages of the continent’s premier club competition.

The ‘Birds’, as Swallows are fondly called, have currently joined Group D leaders with Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia with four points after two matches, and are on course to reach the Total CAF Champions League quarter-finals.
