MBABANE – Getting a copy of the Times of Swaziland and predicting the 2018 champions of the SwaziBank Cup earned Abel Lukhele E15 000.

In yesterday morning’s draw at the Times boardroom conducted by SwaziBank’s Samu Mvubu and Phesheya Vilakati along with Sports Editor Lwazi Dlamini and acting Weekend Sports Editor Chris Dlamini, 18 lucky winners were drawn, winning cash, true to SwaziBank’s pay-off-line ‘the bank with a heart’.

At least 15 got E500 in consolation prizes while second-placed Nomvula Hlophe will earn E7 500 with third-placed Sidney Shiba now E5 000 richer.

Grand prize winner Lukhele, a Mbabane Swallows supporter said he was convinced Young Buffaloes would walk away with the glittering trophy after his side was eliminated in the quarter-finals by Green Mamba. Buffaloes beat Manzini Wanderers 2-1 in last Sunday’s finals played at the Somhlolo National Stadium.

“The money has come at the right time when I was thinking of taking a loan with one of the banks to help with my project. Now that I have won this prize, I’m shelving the loan plans. Indeed God works in different and wonderful ways. I did not expect to win at all,” Lukhele who is self-employed clarified he was not related to SwaziBank Managing Director Zakhele Lukhele.
Lukhele added that he sent as many entries as he could since he gets himself a copy of the Times of Swaziland almost daily.
