BRIGHT DONATES E10 000 TO TZD

MATSAPHA – Bright Mercy Investment showed its bright side when it sponsored the TZD long distance Athletes that will be competing in the Diacore Gaborone Marathon.


The company pumped in E10 000 for the trip. The seven long distance athletes will leave the country today for the marathon billed for Sunday in Botswana Capital City, Gaborone. Presenting the sponsorship was Bright Mercy investment Director Mandla Dlamini.


Present during the sponsorship launch was the Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala, Under Secretary and acting Principal Secretary Nhlanhla Motsa and TZD Sports Director Zakhele Dlamini.


TZD Sports Director Zakhele Dlamini said the initial budget to send the squad is E20 000 and they are grateful to Bright Mercy for the E10 000 cheque.


“Our athletes have been doing well international as in March they brought home a gold medal and a silver medal from a marathon held in Nelspruit South Africa. We believe that they will also do well in Botswana and thanks to Bright Mercy for making the trip possible,” he said.


Dlamini said all the athletes they will be sending the Botswana are pupils and they have great potential of doing well in the future.
Bright Mercy Director Mandla Dlamini said as a company that is still establishing itself, they thought it will  be good to also contribute to the country sports through assisting TZD sends the athletes to Botswana.


“We are a company that deals with technology and electrical appliances. TZD is inves6ing in the future of the country and we believe that it will good for us to also contribute and assist. Sports assist pupils and youth to focus in the game instead of mischievous. We could have loved to put in more and we urge other companies to also assist in empowering the youth especially through sports,” he said.
