MBABANE – Uyayifuna Na? If so, then May 6, 2018 is the date that the SwaziBank Cup final between Manzini Wanderers and Young Buffaloes will take place – E1m is at stake.

The defending champions, Buffaloes will be up against the blazing hot Wanderers at Somhlolo National Stadium. “We now have only two teams standing in the main tournament, and those are our finalists Manzini Wanderers and Young Buffaloes. Our final will be played on May 6 and by then all the tournaments, including the Under-20s will be playing their final,” announced the bank’s PRO Phesheya Vilakati in yesterday’s SwaziBank Cup Ladies draw. He also confirmed the Ladies Cup semi-finals would take place this weekend but left everything else in the hands of the tournament’s Management Committee (MC) Secretary and PLS COO Pat Vilakati.

“Because our Ladies Cup is behind, we’ll have our games this weekend and we appeal to the nation to support them in every way possible. We saw their games over the weekend, and I must say to the bank that they certainly spiced up the tournament,” the COO said. He also said it was encouraging that even retired lady players were now officials in most of the clubs as opposed to female teams being managed by men. “We know there are challenges in your game but don’t give up. Women are naturally known to push, push and push without giving up. Let’s all go out there and support the ladies games,” he appealed. He had said they would release the fixture either late before close of business yesterday or this morning as they were still to negotiate with government over Somhlolo National Stadium’s availability.
