BHUNYA USUTHU WIN BIG

MBABANE – While spreading the words of avoiding forest fires, Bhunya Usuthu emerged champions of the Bhunya branch in the E80 000 Montigny Schools tournament.

Bhunya Usuthu were champions in both soccer and netball, edging Ulundzi 3-0 and Osuthu Methodist 40-34 respectively and highly charged matches. 

Bhunya Usuthu High beat Sikanye 4-1 to advance to the finals with the free scoring Thabani Mavimbela scoring a brace.  In netball, Bhunya Usuthu beat Usuthu 18-9 to advance to the finals.

The second game saw Ulundzi High play to a goalless draw, against Osuthu Methodist High, with the former winning 5-3 after penalty shootouts to advance to the finals. 

In netball, Osuthu Methodist beat Ulundzi 18-12 to book a spot in the finals against Bhunya Usuthu.
Meanwhile, Bhunya Usuthu won a new soccer kit. 

Their goal machine Thabani also scored a resounding hat-trick to raise his hand for the top goal-scorer award. 
In netball, Bhunya Usuthu were eventual winners in the final, after a 32- 32 stalemate in normal time.

 They were finally separated in extra time with Bhunya Usuthu winning the break-set 8-2 to run away 40-34 winners.
The tournament continues tomorrow at LaMgabhi Sports Ground between Inyandza and Bhunya Central High, before St Christophers High cross swords with Mlindazwe High school.
