KWALUSENI – Over the weekend, the curtain fell on what has been an exciting season of the Swaziland Building Society Tennis Juniors tournament.

Fifteen-year-old Vusi Tsabedze improved his game greatly to win the Under-18 boys category while Luching Sorokhaibam defended her crown in the girls section. Junior tennis players converged at the University of Swaziland (UNISWA) courts to battle for podium finishes with top shelf tennis on display.

Swaziland National Tennis Association (SNTA) President Maxwell Jele, who watched with keen interest on the terraces with members of his executive, applauded the youngsters for the good tennis on display and encouraged them to stay active in readiness for the new season.
“We commend and appreciate the partnership with Building Society and they have shown to be true partners of tennis development.

We note the gradual improvement in the standard of play and we will now move to talent identification as we aim to vary our competitions like sending our players to neighbouring international tournaments and also hosting other nations in international matches,” Jele said.
