ACCOLADES FOR NEW SOCGA CEO, SYDNEY

MBABANE – The appointment of Sydney Simelane as new Swaziland Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (SOCGA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has not gone unnoticed by sports association.


Swaziland National Tennis Association (SNTA) President Maxwell Jele, congratulated Simelane on the appointment and said they will give him their best support. He said Simelane was a person who had experience in sports. “He has all the capabilities of moving sports forward in the country, especially considering his experience.


“We are happy to have him in office and he has all our support, not from tennis only but even from the other associations,” he said.
Simelane is former CEO at the Premier League of Swaziland (PLS). He also served as the and marketing manager for African Union Sports Council Region 5 where he was based in Gaborone, Botswana.
