MBABANE – It could be a good omen for her team ahead of the SwaziBank Cup quarter-final clash against neighbours Manzini Sundowns on Sunday at Somhlolo National Stadium.

Khetsiwe Ngcamphalala was the lucky fan. Interestingly, she had no idea about the draw and had not expected anything when she went for the card. She was announced as the winner of the first prize of E1 500 in the ongoing Prepaid Card Promotion running along with the SwaziBank Cup.

“Winners for the first fortnight were announced last week. Today (yesterday) we will award the winners for the second fortnight which ended last Thursday (March 29) and the main winner is Khetsiwe Ngcamphalala who takes home E1 500,” SwaziBank’s Managing Director Zakhele Lukhele announced during yesterday’s kit presentation to the quarter-finalists of the tournament.

He announced the second and third prize winners as Mbuso Dlamini of Tinyosi in the First Division League and Mbabane Highlanders’ Delisile Nonhlanhla Vilakati who pocketed E1 000 and E700, respectively.

“As fans, we’re so grateful to the bank for this competition where we also win cash prizes. I’m also excited because I had no idea about this draw or expected anything when I got my card. It’s a nice promotion that befits the SwaziBank Cup soccer tournament,” Ngcamphalala said while she also thanked the bank for its generosity in supporting local football for 15 years running now. Meanwhile, Lukhele explained that all the public had to do was simply buy, load and transact with the card to stand a chance to win the cash prizes. He said it only costs E50 for the bank’s customers and E100 for non-customers at any SwaziBank branch.

“This means you do not need to have a SwaziBank account to access this card. It is available for everybody. The promotion will run for the duration of the tournament,” he said as the second batch of winners was presented their prizes. He ended by saying that each time card holders used it, they had to register their favourite clubs for as there was E25 000 at stake for the team to most fans using the service. Also worthy of mention is that Mbabane Highlanders have taken the lead in the promotion race, Manzini Wanderers are second with Royal Leopard on third. Last week, it was the big three leading the charts with Mbabane Swallows on top.
