MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows should at least have over E600 000 to fly their team for the three CAF Champions League away games.

The estimated figure is for air tickets to Tunis, Luanda and Lusaka respectively for the Group D CAF Champions League matches.
The first match is on the weekend of May 4-6 in Lusaka against Zesco United, followed by a trip to Tunis to face Etoile du Sahel on the weekend of July 27-29.

The club will close their group stages campaign away to Primerio de Agosto in what will be a midweek game played either Tuesday or Wednesday of August 28-29.

The figure could be reduced to even lower than E500 000 if the club could exercise the privilege of booking 90+ days before the games which come at a discounted rates.

Tickets vary according to the different flights especially for the trip to Tunis where there are about six different flights daily from Johannesburg to the North African country’s capital.

The cheapest flight is the Turkish Flight which allow passengers to connect a flight in Instabul before flying to Tunisia. Fly Emirates have the highest rates at E9 712 when the boking is done 90+ days before the game.

This therefore means that if they take a delegation of 24 members to the game, they will fork at least E233 000 on air tickets.
The trip to Luanda could cost them E115 000 for the same delegation if they connect, but E134 000 for a non-stop flight.

The costs for the Zambia trip ranges from E4 600 air ticket person for bookings done now to E9 000 if done within 7 days before the set date. The total fee ranges from E110400 for 24 people to E187 200.
