EZULWINI – League of Churches president Bishop Samson Hlatjwako is adamant nothing is devilish with playing soccer.

Speaking through a projected video footage during Thursday night’s launch of the 2018 Bible Society Cup, Hlatjwako insisted football actually preoccupies the youth, barring them from being involved in bad habits like taking drugs.

His words were echoed by Bishop Nash Shongwe of Divine Healing Ministries who said football plays a great role in keeping people health and they live for longer. “Having played football myself, I can still work freely despite my age,” Shongwe said.
The charismatic bishop played for giants Mbabane Swallows in his hey days.

Manzini giants and cross town rivals Wanderers and Sundowns will once again do battle in the second edition of the Bible Society Cup. The long-day festivities will also include games between Manzini Pastors and the Mbabane counterparts and also the Voice of the Nation Radio against the Bible Society of Swaziland among other on June 9, 2018 at Mavuso Sports Centre starting at 11am. The launch was held on Thursday night at Gigi’s Restaurant at the Royal Swazi Spa.
