‘WESLIANS’ TOUGH TEST AT VOVOVO IN NHLANGANO

MBABANE – A familiar ‘ghost’ stands in the way of giants Manzini Wanderers in their bid to reach the SwaziBank Cup quarter-finals.

While Wanderers are yet to lose a game to the opposition in the two meetings in the tournament, the team’s loyalists remember the 2-4 loss to the southern Hhohho side in the last 16 of the Ingwenyama Cup on December 31, 2016, without their memory being jogged. In the league fixtures this season, Wanderers won by 3-1 in the first round, but lost 0-1 in the return match.

Both sides do need motivation ahead of the fixture, as it is their only hope of silverware.
The 2009/2015 runners-up crave for the win more than their opponents, as they have nothing to show for their resurgence in the new campaign.
The maroon and white outfit will hope their high fitness levels will be a bonus against a side, whose endurance was questionable in the 1-2 league loss to Manzini Sundowns in the past week.

VOVOVO:
Last tournament outing: U.Flyers 3, Vovovo 4 (After penalties)
Best finish: Last 32
WANDERERS:
Last tournament outing: Bad Boys 1, Wanderers 2
Best finish: Runners-up 2009, 2015
