LOBAMBA – Bantu FC skipper Thapelo Mokhehle said hard work and determination can propel Mbabane Swallows to greater heights in the next round.

Despite beating Swallows 3-1 at Somhlolo National Stadium yesterday, the visiting captain felt the local side had the verve to win in the next stage. The glamour giants are likely to face Zambia’s Zanaco FC.

“Zanaco are beatable. Hard work and determination are key in winning any match,” he said.

Reacting to the result, which saw his team eliminated on an away goal after losing 2-4 in the reverse fixture, Mokhehle said they lost the game in the first leg.
“I’m excited about the display, but expectedly disappointed by the result.

“We were so close to scoring the one goal we needed. The silly mistakes we’ve committed in the first leg are now haunting us,” he said.
Mokhehle felt the experience gained in the two-legged Champions League encounter would come in handy in the quest to conquer domestically.
