MBABANE – They are simply living true to the company’s name and tagline.
They are indeed proving to be a Swazi company.

That is cellphone company Swazi Mobile who have once again come forth to support the country’s CAF Inter-club competitions envoys Young Buffaloes and Mbabane Swallows. Their tagline reads; We work. We connect. We serve the nation.

Just after spending E100 000 buying tickets for 1000 lucky fans over a week ago to go watch Buffaloes against Cape Town City at Somhlolo National Stadium in the CAF Confederation Cup first leg tie, yesterday they announced same sponsorship for Swallows and Lesotho’s Bantu FC CAF Champions League 2nd leg clash – free entry for 1 000 lucky fans.

“It’s simple. All fans need to do is send an SMS with the content 2220, also free of charge, to 7901 0079 as of 6am tomorrow (today) until 8pm.
“Any early entrants will not be considered as we saw last time, some saw the news earlier and immediately texted but we can’t accept early birds before competition time,” the company’s Corporate Communications Manager Macford Sibandze announced at their headquarters inside the capital city.

He explained that they made a commitment as a company to assist in the improvement and development of football and cultural activities as per their late chairman Victor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze’s legacy.

“Even a team can train so hard but without the crowd, the players have nothing to motivate them which is why we’re doing this especially because these games also come on awkward days, midweek which is hard to win fans to pack the stadium,” he said.

He explained that the competition for the ticket will run same way it did in the Buffaloes clash and winners will get SMS texts late tonight or tomorrow morning expected to read as follows; ‘Congratulations, you have WON a free ticket to the Mbabane Swallows vs Bantu FC CAF game. Kindly present yourself at the Swazi Mobile Gazebo on Wednesday to redeem your ticket with this message as reference.’
