LOBAMBA – It looked like Benni McCarthy was the main attraction than the game itself.

The Cape Town City coach spent almost an hour taking selfies with local football fans shortly after the press briefing with the media on Saturday at Somhlolo National Stadium.
This was during the CAF Confederation Cup first leg pitting Young Buffaloes and Cape Town City. The latter won 1-0.

Fans took turns posing with the former Blackburn Rovers forward. The coach showed his humble side as he posed with the excited football fans for almost an hour.
Some of McCarthy’s fans were heard saying they only came to see the former F.C Porto striker as opposed to watching the CAF encounter.

The former Bafana Bafana striker, who won the Champions League with Portugal side, F.C Porto, looked happy and was ever smiling as he posed with the fans.
Other players who posed for photos with fans are Sibusiso Masina and captain Robyn Johannes shortly after the game.
