MANZINI – He is unstoppable. That is Royal Swaziland Police (RSP) Athletics Club’s Sibusiso ‘Swazi Bolt’ Matsenjwa who cruised to victory yesterday in the 60m of the IAAF World Indoor Championships qualifiers held here yesterday.

Matsenjwa’s victory earned him a ticket to represent the country in the championships billed for Birmingham, United Kingdom from March 1-4.
He clocked 6:80 seconds in the provision results while Correctional Service’s Thandaza Zwane came second on 6:89 seconds.
This was the third and last edition of the qualifiers with Matsenjwa having won all the past events.

“This was through hard work and now I had to make sure that I represent the country well in the World Championships.
‘‘I’m happy that I have competition and that is what pushed me to work hard,” he said.

Athletics Association of Swaziland (AAS) Secretary Thoba Mazibuko said the technical committee is yet to meet and compile a full report of the results.
“Matsenjwa dominated in the qualifiers and he is likely to be the one to represent the country but that will be finalised after the technical committee meeting,” he said.
