MBABANE – Malanti Chiefs could lose their prized assets if they don’t live up to their demands.

These are MTN Premier League top goal scorer Charles Molopo and exciting left winger Bongani Shabalala.
The duo has since shunned the team’s training late last December. The two players who are both from South Africa are said to be demanding money from the Pigg’s Peak based side.

According to a reliable source the players have not returned to the gold and black ensemble are trying secure offers from South African clubs.
“They are playing hard to get by demanding exorbitant amounts of money. Bongani wants E5 000 while Charles is demanding E7 000.They are both saying they need that money to sort personal problems and for transport back to Swaziland,” the source said.

When Malanti Chiefs co-director Victor Rodriguez was reached for comments he confirmed that the duo were demanding a certain amount of money.
“Look, we have to look into this as management because we need both players. They are both first team level material so we have to try by all means to get them by tomorrow or by the weekend” Rodriguez said.

He further said they were missed when they lost against Young Buffaloes over the weekend.
“They have left a void in the team and that is the reason we lost at this big margin. However we are working around the clock to bring them back to the team,” he said. Efforts to get the player’s comments were futile as their cellphones were unreachable.

Malanti Chiefs who also lost their Zambian coach Christopher Tembo lost 3-0 to Young Buffaloes over the weekend.
