MBABANE – Garbage in, garbage out! This computer language, which denotes that the programme or process is only as good as the ideas or data put into it may ring true for the December edition of MTN Player of the Month.

These are enterprising Mbabane Swallows midfielder Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze and Tinyosi goal-poacher Maswazi Dlamini whose individual and team-work prowess have won them E5 000 and E1 500, respectively.
Despite not scoring a goal in the month of December, the Mbabane Swallows gifted midfielder provided assists which led to goals during the three games that were played in December.

They played to a 1-all draw against Matsapha, beat Manzini Sundowns 1-0 and also licked Mbabane Highlanders 3-2 and ‘Pupu’ was there controlling the centre of the park and making those defending splitting passes.

Scintillating

And his scintillating display hasn’t gone unnoticed by the awards committee thus his deservedly won the monthly  incentive. Sikhondze attributed his outstanding performance to his colleagues.
“It not about individual brilliance but about teamwork. I owe this award to my teammates, technical bench and management who have been a pillar of strength through-out my career,” Sikhondze said.
Meanwhile, National First Division Side Tinyosi striker, Maswazi Dlamini, who has scored three goals in December has also attributed this to his teammates.

“It’s about what you put in, and this award comes as a bonus. Without my teammates I could not have won this award,” Dlamini said.
The winners were handed their prizes by MTN Senior Manager Brand Communications and Sponsorships Meshack Maseko and PLS COO Pat Vilakati at Sigwaca House yesterday.
