MBABANE – Revenge is not the solution, instead letting justice take its course is what bereaved Mbabane Swallows seek in this dark hour.

While the club completely understand the fury among its fans and members of the public as it is patently glaring in all social networks, it has appealed for a decent funeral for a decent man in the slain Victor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze.

“As Swallows, we want everybody to respect the Gamedze and Dlamini families, PLS, FA, football sponsors and all stakeholders during this hard time especially during the memorial and burial. We have seen so much information on the issue in social networks and people’s emotions are too high but please tone it down,”  appealed HM Stationery’s Managing Director Hezekiel Mabuza who Swallows tasked as its PRO for this sad situation.

Mabuza continued: “Instead of sharing on social networks, we advise people to approach the police with any form of help they can offer than using social media.”

On the demise of the PLS, Swazi Mobile, MVtel and Swallows chairman, he said the Swallows family; being players, fans, management and elders were deeply saddened by this horrible experience.

“It’s the first time we’ve experienced this and are very devastated. We’d like to send our condolences to his family, government, football and the business community at large.  He was not only making an impact in football but also assisting government in business which created jobs for Swazis in the fight to alleviate poverty,” Mabuza said.
