TAEKWONDO NAMES TENTATIVE AFRICAN CHAMPIONSHIP SQUAD

MANZINI – Taekwondo has upped its preparations in search for a podium finish for March African Championships and the second edition of the World Taekwondo President Cup that follows immediately thereafter in Morocco.


The association held its joint training session at St Michaels High School in Manzini in readiness for the upcoming international assignment under the tutelage of national squad coach Mancoba Motsa and president Zakhele Dlamini.
Morocco will play host to three international events in March, the 2018 African Senior Championship, 2018 African Poomsae Championship, 2018 Para Taekwondo Championship- Africa and the 2nd WT President’s Cup, which all will be held in Agadir , Morocco from March 28 to April 3.


Swaziland has joined the continent in rising for supremacy on the international stage following great achievement of five Olympic medals in Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games in 2016.
“We will participate in the African Championships and the President Cup in Morocco. We have had limited break, with fighters practising during the recently ended holidays and the plan is to have joint weekend training sessions until the events,” said coach Motsa.
