MBABANE – Only the best story gets to be the lead with the Times of Swaziland. 

Just hours before we cross over to 2018, Mbabane Swallows frequented the publication back page, thanks to their Total CAF Champions League exploits and continued dominance on the domestic front with a whopping 71 stories from January to date. Their bitter sworn rivals, Mbabane Highlanders, were the closest with a distant 37 lead stories.

Hub giants Manzini Wanderers are not far off with 26 while elite newcomers Matsapha United find themselves within the top four bracket with 14.

Sihlangu, struggling sides Mbabane City and Red Lions have had their fair share of the leading publication mainly because of ongoing war with the Football Association (FA) over the eligibility of some Premier League clubs and the financial meltdown, respectively.

Recuperating goal machine Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa topped the individual charts with pieces like ‘Sikhali’ out of ICU’, and ‘Sikhali Nominated for to CAF award’ among the eight stories written about the Swallows and Sihlangu forward in the ending year.
