MIKE DOMBO, KAMARA ARE NOVEMBER’S LEAGUE BEST

MBABANE – They were just simply outstanding in the month of November.

These are Manzini Wanderers right winger Mike Dombo and National First Division side, Mbabane Citizens defender Baimba Kamara, who were yesterday announced as the PLS Players of the Month. Dombo pocketed E5 000 while Kamara received E1 500 for this award. Both players have been influential in the month of November. Dombo has not only scored five goals but has provided assists which resulted to goals. His sterling performance has helped the Weslians to be in the top four. Despite being a defender Kamara has three goals to his name and his team is undoubtedly one of the best team in the NFD as they are yet to lose a game in the league. Making the announcement at The Sigwaca House yesterday, MTN Senior Manager Brand Communications and Sponsorships, Meshack Maseko said they were pleased to present the prizes to deserving candidates. “We would like to congratulate the winners for shinning during this month. These are the players who brought excitement in our games. They now stand a chance of winning the Player of the Year award at the end of the season.

“We urge them to keep their eye on the ball,” Maseko said. The senior manager further pleaded with PLS players to be on their   best behavior during the festive season. “You should know that you are role models so we urge all PLS players to behave well during this festive. We want you to come back strong and entertain the fans in January. We also wish all the players and other football stakeholders happy festive holidays,” he said. Dombo said he was happy to have won the award for the first time. “It feels good to win this award; it motivates me to do even to do better as a player. I am looking forward to helping my team win more games by scoring goals,” Dombo said. Kamara shared the same sentiments noting that it played a major role in motivating them as players.

“This is good for us as players as it encourages us to work even extra hard. I am happy about my achievement. I will continue to shine as our target is to gain promotion as a team,” the defender said. Mbabane Swallows striker Sandile Hlatswayo and Mbabane Citizens defender Tawana Chikore scooped the October PLS Player of the Month award.
