MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows are relishing the closer to home trip to Lesotho for the CAF Champions League tie against Bantu F.C.

And their joy has been shared by CAF Confederation Cup envoys Young Buffaloes who will also take a trip to the ‘Mother City’ to face John Commitis- owned Cape Town City.

Swallows General Manager Sandile ‘Beyond 2000’ Zwane promised to take the entire red and white supporters to Mafeteng in the Mountain Kingdom to face James Madidilane and his Bantu F.C charges in February.
“It is a fair draw, because we can take as many supporters as possible, to create a home away from home environment for us, like we did in Francistown against Orapa United,” he said.

He echoed his team’s coach Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati’s sentiments that the club have a responsibility to advance beyond the group stages they achieved last season in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Buffaloes CEO Nhlanhla Gwebu raved at the monetary advantages of the trip to Cape Town for his team and the possibility of either going to Mozambique or Botswana if they eliminate Bennie McCarthy’s charges.
“The worry in these competitions is normally the distance one would cover for a game. We believe Cape Town is a familiar territory for us and the budget will not strain our coffers,” he said.
Meanwhile, coach Dominic Kunene said they have to seek tips from Mbabane Swallows who have travelled the journey before and succeeded.
