MBABANE – South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs local fans branch has lived up to the club’s slogan of ‘Love and Peace’.

The local branch of the ‘Amakhosi’ donated goods worth E15 000 to  Zondle boys from Lwandle last Saturday.
The home is under the Methodist Church and relies on grants and donations.

It houses about 20 boys of different ages who are school-going. The Kaizer Chiefs Supporters Swaziland Branch (KCSSB) PRO Sithandayena Dlamini said they were happy that they have been able to keep their promise as they had pledged earlier.
Present during the donation included senior members of the Lwandle Chiefdom Polycarp Dlamini, Mshamndane Sibandze and Zondle Board members, including former Minister Constance Simelane.

The donated items included school shoes, blankets, food and clothing among other things.
“As we pointed out last month during the charity event at Hlatikhulu that a big one was coming, it finally came. Just like we did in Hlatsi, we left the boys all happy and we believe that they will enjoy their Christmas,” she said. “This is the third year we have been donating to this orphanage and they have since become our partners. We contribute as Chiefs followers from the beginning of the year and then in December, we partner up with orphanages and have a big party and make the presentation,” she said.

Dlamini then urged Kaizer Chiefs fans in the country to join the branch as it is recognised in Naturena (Home of Kaizer Chiefs).
Some of the benefits include when you are a member are trips to watch the games in South Africa and at times a chance to visit Naturena.
The branch donated items worth E6 000 to a girls home in Hlatikhulu last month.
