MANZINI – Red Lions have smoked the peace pipe with defender Talent Maposa, ahead of playing Mbabane Swallows on Wednesday.

The lanky Zimbabwean centre back has missed a couple of games, including yesterday’s 2-3 loss to neighbours Manzini Sundowns. But Red Lions coach Mlamuli ‘Sputla’ Zwane has assured that Maposa will be back to face his former employers mid-week alongside Muzi ‘Mzo’ Dlamini who was suspended for the Sundowns game.

“Talent, I have been told, will be back after missing a couple of games. And we hope to build from our second half performance today (yesterday) going to the Swallows game. We have to give it our all,” he said.

He lamented the lapse in concentration in the first half, which resulted in the team conceding soft goals.
“We paid the price for lapses in concentration, but we changed the game plan in the second half to take the game to our opponents,” he said.

Manzini Sundowns’ stand-in coach Musa Manyatsi said the three precious points was what they needed, but also lamented the appalling second half showing.

“I don’t know what happened in the second, after a good showing in the first half. But as a coach, I will always look into the first half performance and be happy,” he said.

Striker Melusi Mkhwanazi scored his seventh league goal of the season, and is showing great potential as a centre forward.
