MBABANE – Mlamuli ‘Sputla’ Zwane has been shown the exit door at Red Lions. Zwane joined Amabhubesi three games into the start of the season.

He replaced Dumsani ‘DU’ Makhanya, who was with the Fairview-based team since the beginning of the 2016 season. ‘Sputla’ has only managed to beat strugglers Midas City 2-0, drew against Royal Leopard 0-0 and lost the other eight games. This was revealed by the team’s director Ngudze Mamba last night.

“We felt Zwane has failed to meet our targets as management. He only got four points from possible 30 points in 10 games. In fact our short-term target was to win the first four games but he failed to do that. We were patient with him up to this far. Our relationship had to come to an end unfortunately,” Mamba said. The director further said Terisayi Changara would be the stand-in coach while they were looking for a coach.

“Changara will be in charge of the team when we play against Manzini Sundowns on Saturday. We believe he will do a good job,” he said. Mamba also revealed that he has dissolved the Management Committee. “We felt that there was a lot of backbiting and betrayal among the MC. We have dissolved the MC and we will announce the new setup in the near future.

As things stands, I will handle all matters relating to the team,” Mamba said. The MC was comprised of Comfort Shongwe, who was the CEO,Vusi Hall, who was the Logistic Manager, while Mayibongwe Mhlongo was the Kit Manager, with Nkululeko Ndlangamandla as Secretary.
