MBABANE – Myengwa Sibandze has clinched another victory over the FA in his over a decade court battle.

The former National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) Technical Director will now be given full scale compensation for car mileage, service and petrol on top of his staggering E400 000 payout for unfair dismissal.

Industrial Court Judge Nkosinathi Nkonyane, seated with Simon Mvubu and Gilbert Ginindza, yesterday ruled that the football mother body should pay Sibandze the two amounts as per the ruling of the court in October 16 last year.

The FA has taken the matter to court seeking clarity on paragraph (c) of the judgment, which specifically deals with the pay.
The figures which were already calculated by the parties, were according to a well-placed source totalling up to E180 000, which will therefore put the entire package at E580 000 for the former FA TD.

When delivering the verdict, the judge observed that there was nothing unclear or ambiguous with paragraph (C) of the judgment on payment of car mileage, car service and petrol. He said from the submissions in court, there was a consensus between the applicant and the respondent on what constituted car mileage.

“Consequently, the respondent is ordered to comply with the court order within seven working days from today’s ruling,” reads the judgment.
Sibandze, who represented himself in the matter, said he was happy that the matter had finally been concluded.
However, he was reluctant to disclose the figures calculated on the car mileage, car service and petrol fee.
