MANZINI – Goals from Manzini Wanderers wing wizard, Mike Dombo, and Nigeria-born forward, Aladeon Kola, condemned Mbabane City to their 11th straight defeat after the same number of matches.

After yesterday’s MTN Premier League showdown at Mavuso Sports Centre, Wanderers are marching very closer to the top four with 18 points. They are only behind fourth-placed Malanti Chiefs on goal difference.

City noticeably played their entire opening period with 10 men, following a soccer kit challenge. They had hoped to use a predominantly white kit, which clashed with that of their hosts. They changed to a blue Kappa jersey, which had missing kits due to a mix-up at the laundry.

They had to change to  blue and white tops in the second half and eventually played with all the players. Back to the game, for a moment City looked like they would cause an upset as they first matched the recharged opponents.

They were first to the ball, but could not get into the box. Wanderers, who were expectedly buoyed by a roaring crowd that filled the right side of the tunnels, had to wait for the last five minutes of the opening period to crack the opposition defence.
