‘TT’ IS SPORTS STAR OF THE YEAR

EZULWINI – Like he dazzles on the field with his twinkle toed left foot, Mbabane Swallows and Sihlangu captain Tony Tsabedze did his magic at the biggest sporting podium last night.

Tsabedze was named the Sports Star of the Year during the inaugural 2017 National Sports Awards hosted by the Swaziland National Sports and Recreation Council (SNSRC) at the spacious Royal Swazi Convention Centre. Presenting the award to Tsabedze who has won trophies by a bucketful in a rich close to two decades career was His Majesty King Mswati III representative Prince Masitsela.

The shy looking star maintained his cool as he does when inside the big box in the football field on his way to goal as he was given the opportunity to say a few words, encouraging those who did not win and all athletes across all sporting codes to continue working hard.
“In life you do not get what you desire but what you deserve,” he said.
Tsabedze’s category was voted for through MTN SMS lines with a whopping 11 000 votes reported to have come through.
