MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows have not enjoyed a dream start, but remain an undisputed dominant force in local football.

Their only blip so far is the 1-all draw with Young Buffaloes in the opener. They last lost a league game on Sunday, May 15, 2016. It was the 1-3 loss to Royal Leopard during the last match of the 2015/16 campaign. They have won 20 out of 24 league matches since the start of the past season.

The other four games were draws against Midas City, Buffaloes, Moneni Pirates and Manzini Wanderers.  Hoping to spoil their flawless record is fellow heavyweights in recharged Wanderers.

The latter’s confidence levels are sky high following a morale boosting 4-1 win over Malanti Chiefs last Sunday. In terms of quality, the ‘Weslians’ cannot match the opposition, but in recruit, Mike Dombo, they have a magician.

The entire squad also has a mileage to last any game. Games between the two sides are hard to predict, but Swallows lead the head-to-head statistics after winning four times in the last eight meetings. Wanderers only prevailed twice. After showing defence frailties in the 3-2 win over Tambuti, Swallows will want to prove that they remain a force to be reckoned with.
