MBABANE – The buck stops with SBIS. This is after Swaziland Broadcasting Information Services (SBIS) yesterday imposed a mini-ban on their sports show.

According to a message that was sent by Premier League of Swaziland to all the elite and National First Division teams’ representatives, the team PRO’s will now have to go to the station only when they have been invited.

This is not the first time SBIS has effected this arrangement.
In November last year, PROs were banned after former Manzini Wanderers’Senzo Dlamini said unpalatable comments about Manzini Sundowns.
ban

The ban was lifted but Manzini Sundowns PRO Muzi Matsenjwa also made some comments which did not go down with the opposition team.
The message from PLS that was sent to the team representative reads in part: “Good day CEO/PRO or Managers; you are kindly advised that SBIS had a meeting today (yesterday) concerning Sports Show as from tomorrow (today) you will go to SBIS by invitation.”

PLS COO Pat Vilakati said only SBIS can explain the latest developments.
The station Director, Martin Dlmini, was unreachable when called yesterday.
He was called several times and a message was sent to his mobile number but he did not respond.
decision

According to reliable source at the station, this decision was reached after it appeared that the PROs were disturbing the running of certain programmes during the show.
The radio talk show is hosted by Moses ‘Mthetho’ Matsebula, Nathie ‘Mdockies’ Hlophe but recently, Nftombitanele Motsa. The programme is aired every Monday and Friday at 6:15am.

Mbabane Highlanders PRO Paul Masilela said SBIS should reconsider their decision.
“This will have a negative effect, not only Highlanders only, but the whole football fraternity.

Tomorrow (today) I would have loved to go to the show but I have not got an invite yet so this is very disturbing to say at least. A majority of football followers mainly relay on radio so this is bad news to us,” Masilela said.
