MBABANE – A secret ballot voting will decide the fate of under fire Sihlangu coach Pieter De Jongh.

The cumbersome will be done by the nine members of the FA executive committee chaired by President Adam ‘Bomber’ Mthethwa.
The others are the three Vice Presidents; Comfort Shongwe, Peter ‘Samora’ Simelane, Victor Gamedze, executive committee members; Philip ‘Big Daddy’ Dlamini, Sikhumbuzo Dlamini and the four chairpersons from the country’s regional football associations.

Women’s Football Association (WFA) Chairman, Sonnyboy Mabuza did not attend the meeting pending the court decision on the organisation’s executive committee.
The decision to take them to a secret ballot emanated from Tuesday night’s meeting, where the Dutch mentor submitted his reports on the team’s performance during the COSAFA Castle Cup and the CHAN, where Sihlangu failed to win a game in four games played.

Sources close to the FA confided in this publication that the fate of the coach will be determined later after the members have all gone through the report.
“The executive committee agreed to vote for the decision on the Sihlangu technical bench, following a recent public and Parliament outcry over the declining performance of the team,” one source said.
FA CEO Frederick Mngomezulu could only confirm that a meeting was held over Sihlangu issues, but a decision will be communicated to Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala.

“The discussions were in response to concerns raised in Parliament, and the executive committee will communicate with the office of the minister on when to deliver a report on the deliberations on Sihlangu,” he said. De Jongh has been under fire since replacing Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga and the recent bad results in the COSAFA Cup and CHAN has fuelled the public outcry.

Last month, parliamentarians took turn criticising the coach during the debate of the Ministry of Sports first quarter report, and most of them were clear in calling for the coach to pack his bags and leave the country.
