‘DAZZA’ PERFECT FOR US – MBAYA

MBABANE – There is no doubting the fact that Darren ‘Dazza’ Christie will be given the warmest affection at Matsapha United.

The dazzling Manzini Sundowns winger is edging closer to his new home as talks between parties intensified. And yesterday, the player was due to train with Umhlabuhlangene for the first time.  The club official Sifiso Shongwe said they were expecting him to join the rest of the players who are being taken through their paces by Mbaya Katala and Zweli ‘Botsotso’ Khoza in the absence of Zimbabwean gaffer Saul Chamunika.
“We want Darren badly and we can confirm that we are negotiating with Manzini Sundowns over his clearance,” Shongwe said.

The rest of the Matsapha players converged at Malkerns Country Club where they are gearing up for their season opener against Royal Leopard.
Katala said if ‘Dazza’ signs, he would be a good acquisition to his players alongside other new signings like Bismarck and Xolani ‘Papi’ Sikhondze who were already feeling at home. “We will give a warm welcome like the rest of the new players, but his issue is being handled by management,” he said.
The player could not be reached for comments yesterday, he did not respond even to a texted message.
