MBABANE – The cat is out of the bag – defending champions Mbabane Swallows will meet Royal Leopard in the first semi-final of the Swazi Telecom Charity Cup Under-20 Knockout tournament.

This follows a draw conducted yesterday at Sigwaca House. The two sides will get into the thick of the action this Sunday at the King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium in Nhlangano. The second semi-final will see Mbabane Highlanders play either Moneni Pirates or Manzini Sundowns depending on the senior teams’ play-offs between the latter two.

The senior teams, Sundowns and Pirates, will also clash on the same day at 2pm as the main match of the day which will begin as early as 9am with a match between Pastors and SPTC Management before the juniors’ semi-final at 11am. “Swallows and Leopard will be playing this Sunday in Nhlangano and then the next semi-final will be next Wednesday but we’ll release fixtures in due course,” PLS’ Development’s PRO Dumisani ‘DU’ Sibandze explained.

He then thanked SPTC for once again ensuring the development teams were engaged in the competition for the third year running now, saying by so doing, they were playing a huge role in improving the country’s football standard.
